I don't like to blow my own trumpet too much - and there's not much point when people seem to be happy to do it for me! Aha!

This book really blew me away! – Rowan takes the reader into a wonderful world of adventure - the plot just sweeps you away into another world where you just can’t help developing an emotional attachment to the characters – I can’t wait for the sequel to see what my old friends are up to this time!
One of the best books I’ve read in a very long time!
Ten out of ten Rowan - well done!

Having now finished reading "The Quest" I am sat waiting in great anticipation for the follow up book, I NEED to know what happens! The storyline is wonderful, you are transported into a magical world which seems so real you can almost touch it. The characters thoughts and feelings are wonderfully portrayed and you end up caring so much about them - this book had me laughing and crying. If you love fantasy, this is one book that I would recommend highly. It is truly one of the best I have read in a very long time, with an original story and the most tactile characters. A wonderful read xxxxx

I started reading 'The Quest' with high expectations and I was not disappointed. Rowan goes into great detail describing the scenery and the appearance of her characters so you get a really good clear picture in your head but still enough room to use your imagination. I felt really intrigued by wanting to know what the quest was all about and Rowan keeps you wondering all the way through about what the ''prize'' is. At first I found it hard to connect with the characters, simply because it kept going round and round in my head that I know the writer. But pretty soon I got immersed in the story and started to care about each character - they started to become real for me. I don't want to say too much cos I don't want to spoil it for everyone but the story really started to intensify about 3/4 of the way in and the way it was left on a real cliffhanger has left me wanting more. I can't wait for book number 2.
